£2,000 per annum for each year of study (subject to satisfactory academic progress).  For a maximum of 4 years.

Number of scholarships available: 10.

Deadline

The deadline to apply for the Kent Access to HE Ambition Scholarship is 31st August 2025.  Applicants must also firmly accept an offer from the University of Kent before the 31st August 2025 deadline.

Criteria

You can apply for the Kent Access to HE Ambition Scholarship if you fulfil the following criteria:

• You have completed* or are in the process of completing an Access to HE Diploma at:

  • University of Kent

  • Mid Kent College

  • West Kent College

  • EKC Group

  • Canterbury College

  • Ashford College

• You are a UK student

• You have applied to the University of Kent for a full-time or part-time undergraduate programme.

• You must have made a firm acceptance of an offer made to you by the University before the 31 August 2025 application deadline in the year of entry.

If you are a former student then you are only eligible if you completed an Access to HE Diploma at one of the institutions listed above and this is your most recent qualification undertaken.

Please note that KMMS students are not eligible for this scholarship.

Scholarship holders can expect to receive between £500-£2,000 per annum for each year of study (subject to satisfactory academic progress).  For a maximum of 4 years.  The amount awarded is dependent upon household income.

Deadline

The deadline to apply for the Kent Ambition to Succeed Scholarship is 31st August 2025.  Applicants must also firmly accept an offer from the University of Kent before the 31st August 2025 deadline.

Scholarship value: Awards up to £2,500.

No scholarship application form is required as awards will be considered on a rolling basis by the Scholarship Panel. Applicants will be notified at offer stage if successful and must confirm acceptance of the award via payment of the course deposit.

Criteria

• Applicants must have made a formal application to study onto a MSc course at Kent Business School and be in receipt of a formal offer for January 2025 or September.

• Applicants should hold a UK First Class honours degree (or international equivalent).

• Be self-funded.

• Applicants who have previously studied their first degree at the University of Kent are not eligible for this Scholarship but can be considered for the KBS Loyalty Award.

• Only one KBS/University scholarship can be held by an applicant, whichever is the higher amount.

You must meet all of the following conditions:

• Applicants must have completed, or be completing, a first Bachelor's degree obtained in the UK or at an equivalent level, achieved with a first-class classification.

• Be classified by the University of Kent as an overseas student for tuition fee purposes.

• Be fully self-funding your studies.

• To have been made and accepted an offer of a place on the Law (Graduate Entry) LLB by the scholarship application deadline.

• To have submitted a scholarship application (details below) by the scholarship application deadline (please note that we are unable to consider applicants for the award without an application).

Points to Note:

• You must meet the academic conditions of entry/be accepted for entry for the award to be given.

• This award cannot be held in conjunction with other awards and scholarships offered by Kent Law School, or the Division for the Study of Law, Society, and Social Justice (the award which provides the greater monetary value overall will be given only). Please contact us for further information.

• This award cannot be held by those applying to the Law (Graduate Entry) LLB under any articulation or progression agreements which already benefit from a fee reduction, such as the arrangement with Aix-Marseille Université, France (AMU).

• Graduates of the University of Kent are eligible for the award if they meet the stated conditions.

• Where students are required to continue their studies beyond their original period of registration, the award will only be provided for that original period of registration.

• We have a limited number of scholarships available; please note that they will be awarded on a first come first serve basis.

Criteria

• Hold a valid passport demonstrating nationality of a country receiving ODA funding from the OECD. A full list of countries can be found on the OECD website.

• Be classified by the University of Kent as an overseas student for tuition fee purposes.

• Be fully self-funded.

• Have applied for the taught Kent LLM at the Canterbury Campus of the University of Kent for entry in September 2025.

• Have accepted an offer of a place on the taught LLM by the scholarship application deadline.

• Submit a scholarship application (details below) by the scholarship application deadline (please note that we are unable to consider applicants for the award without an application).

Points to Note:

• You must meet the academic conditions of entry/be accepted for entry for the award to be given.

• This award cannot be held in conjunction with other awards and scholarships offered by Kent Law School, or the Division for the Study of Law, Society, and Social Justice (the award which provides the greater monetary value overall will be given only).

• Graduates of the University of Kent are eligible for the award if the meet the stated conditions.

• There is alimited number of places available on this scholarship - any applications received after the cap will not be considered.

One scholarship worth £2,000 per annum (or pro-rata for part-time students) for the duration of the recipient's degree programme.

• Both full-time and part-time students are eligible to apply.

• Home and Overseas students are eligible to apply.

To be eligible to apply for the scholarship, applicants must:

• Have attained A*AA from three A Levels or a specified equivalent*.

• Be entering Stage 1 of their undergraduate degree in September 2024.

• Have made their application to the University of Kent via UCAS.

• Have made a firm acceptance to study at Kent by 31 August 2024.

Applicants not eligible to apply for the scholarship are those:

• Who have attained any qualification higher than A Level or equivalent.

• Who are in receipt of need-based financial aid.

• Who are current students at The University of Kent.

• Who are applying to Medway School of Pharmacy

• Who are applying to Kent and Medway Medical School (KMMS)

The scholarship will not be paid during a Year Abroad or a Year in Industry placement.
