International students who hold an offer to study at the University of Greenwich could receive a tuition fee discount worth up to £3,000 in their first year.

Am I eligible?

To apply, you will need to meet the following criteria:

• You have been offered a place to begin a course in September 2025.

• You will pay fees at the international rate.

• You are not receiving any other scholarships from the University or another source.

Demand for our courses changes over the course of the academic year. As such the International Recruitment team will withdraw programmes for award consideration at short notice.

EU nationals domiciled in the EU are not eligible for this award but may be eligible for our EU bursary.

University of Greenwich International College (UGIC) students who are progressing to the university component of their course will be considered.

Key dates and deadlines

We encourage you to apply as early as possible. Your application must be submitted so the panel's decision comes before your course start date.

Main conditions

• You must have been offered a place on a full-time undergraduate or taught postgraduate course for the upcoming September 2025 intake.

• You must be assessed as paying fees at the international rate.

• Payment of this award is by way of a tuition fee reduction for the first year of study. Students must pay the full cost of tuition in subsequent academic years. The award cannot be used in lieu of your deposit payment.

• The award cannot be applied retroactively and will be withdrawn if you have already commenced your studies.

• Upon receiving confirmation the scholarship award, applicants should pay their tuition fee deposit (or accept their offer if a sponsored student) within 28 days . The University of Greenwich can not guarantee the scholarship past this point and may offer the award to other candidates applying in later application rounds.

• Applicants must not be in receipt of any other award such as a bursary or scholarship. The International Scholarship Award is non-deferrable and cannot be transferred to a later intake, including but not limited to January 2026 or April 2026.

• Recipients of the award may be asked to participate in university promotional activities, such as interviews and attendance at university events.

• You can only apply for this scholarship once.

• The decision of the panel is final.

• Due to the high volume of applications we receive, we are unable to provide detailed individual feedback.

We are offering an Early Confirmation Scholarship to support international students who hold an offer and meet the deposit deadline.

Am I eligible?

To apply, you will need to meet the following criteria:

• You have been offered a place to begin a course in September 2025 intake only.

• You will pay fees at the international rate.

• You must submit your deposit payment before 15th April 2025.

• Deposit payment must be made via the Convera platform only.

Scholarship value

If you submit your deposit payment via Convera before 15th April 2025, you will automatically be eligible for the following scholarship:

• £8,000 for Undergraduate students (£4,000 on Year 1 of study, £2,000 on Year 2 of study and £2,000 on Year 3 of study)*.

• £4,000 for Postgraduate students.

*If you are entering into year 2 or 3 of any undergraduate programme, you will be eligible for a discount of £4,000 in your first year, and £2,000 in any subsequent years.

This scholarship is available to all new international students who meet the deposit deadline, and no additional application is required. The Scholarship is in the form of reduction in your tuition fees, payable upon registration and enrolment.

The Global Mobility Team and The Fee’s and Funding team would like to work in partnership to offer a dedicated bursary to help students from disadvantaged backgrounds to access study abroad and internship opportunities.

A scholarship of up to £2,000 paid to students who are undertaking their first approved study abroad Programme at the University of Greenwich. The bursary amount depends on the destination, length, and type of study abroad programme, as well as the eligibility criteria met by the students.

Eligibility Criteria

Students must fill out an additional Global Greenwich Bursary application form to be eligible for it.

Undergraduate home students meeting at least one of the criteria below are eligible to apply for the bursary:

• Student with an annual household income below £35,000.

• Students receiving Universal Credit or income-related benefits because they are financially supporting themselves and someone who is dependent and living with them.

• BAME student.

• Care leaver or care-experienced student.

• Student with caring responsibilities.

• Estranged students.

• Refugees and asylum seeker.

• Disabled students.

Assessment/Awarding Process

• The number of bursaries is capped at 20 for term or year abroad opportunities, and 150 for summer programme opportunities. Applicants who meet the eligibility criteria who wish to receive the bursary must make an application.

• All awards are allocated on a first come first serve basis and based on the eligibility criteria; students from disadvantaged backgrounds will be prioritised. Once all 170 awards have been made the fund will close.

• Term or year abroad – open in the summer for a September and January start. Eligible for Undergraduate Home students only. Priority given to students going to expensive destinations such as the USA and Japan.

• Summer programme – open in December for following summer. Eligible for Undergraduate Home students only..
