Bath Spa University works with a number of regional offices to support its work across the world.

This year, the following Asia Pacific Regional Office Scholarships are available:

• £2,000 off tuition fees for the first year of study (10 scholarships available).

Criteria 

You must demonstrate high academic excellence and commitment to creativity, culture and enterprise in the following countries:

• Japan

• South Korea

• Malaysia

• Thailand

• Singapore

• Vietnam

• Indonesia

• Cambodia

• Laos

• Brunei

• Myanmar

• Philippines

• Australia

• New Zealand

If you are a high-achieving student from outside the UK and are entering undergraduate or postgraduate studies with us, you may benefit from the International Recruitment Office Scholarship.

The following scholarships are available:

• £5,000 off tuition fees for the first year of study (two scholarships available).

• £1,000 off tuition fees for the first year of study (20 scholarships available).

Criteria

This scholarship is for candidates who are joining Bath Spa University in September, entering either:

• A three-year undergraduate programme.

• A one-year postgraduate programme.

Bath Spa University is the UK's leading university for creativity, culture and enterprise. The Latin America Creativity and Culture Scholarships celebrate this excellence, and support Bath Spa University's work in Latin America.

The following scholarships are available:

• £3,000 off tuition fees for the first year of study (three scholarships available).

Criteria

Eligible countries

• Brazil - Postgraduate Taught Master's courses.

• Chile - Postgraduate Taught Master's courses.

• Colombia - Postgraduate Taught Master's courses.

• Costa Rica - Postgraduate Taught Master's courses.

• Ecuador - Postgraduate Taught Master's courses.

• Mexico - Postgraduate Taught Master's and undergraduate courses (year one entry).

• Panama - Postgraduate Taught Master's courses.

• Peru - Postgraduate Taught Master's courses.

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:

• Be a national from Latin America who has applied for and holds an offer for any of the eligible programmes listed above

• Have high academic results and can demonstrate a commitment to creativity, culture and enterprise in Latin America. 

Additional details

• Applicants' fee status must be International. UK and EU students are not eligible.

• Applicants must hold an offer of admission, conditional or unconditional, to an appropriate Bath Spa University programme at the point of application. The programme must be a Master's degree, be at least one year’s duration, be full-time on-campus, and lead to an award of Bath Spa University.

• Scholarships are awarded as a part-fee waiver.

• Bath Spa University reserves the right to award a scholarship only after careful consideration of an applicant’s qualifications and verification of authenticity, plus financial capability. You must be able to prove that you have the financial ability to support the remaining tuition fees and living costs to be able to accept a scholarship award. The University is unable to provide feedback on unsuccessful scholarship applications.

If you are undertaking a a Professional Placement Year between your second and third years of academic study, you can benefit from the The Professional Placement Year Bursary.

Introduced in 2025, its aim is to make work experience more accessible, providing students with money which can be used towards placement costs such as travel, food, workwear or accommodation.

How it works

The bursary is paid in two instalments, and the total amount you receive will depend on which eligibility criteria you meet. These criteria are split into three tiers, and each one is outlined below.

The first half of the bursary will be paid once your placement has been approved by the University, and you will receive the second half in January.

Once your placement details have been submitted, the University will determine which tier you fall into, and you will be notified by the outcome via email. The money will then be paid to you automatically.

Students studying at our Educational Partner institutes are not eligible for this scheme.

Tier one: £1,500

You will fall into tier one if you:

• Come from a home postcode area with low participation in higher education, and have been assessed by Student Finance as being from a household with an annual income of less than £25,000.

• Are classed as a mature student (aged 21 or above at time of enrolment).

• Have disclosed a disability to Bath Spa University.

• Are a care leaver.

• Are a young adult carer.

• Are of a black or ethnic minority.

• Have been categorised by the Student Loan Company as being estranged from their parents.

• Are identified as a Gypsy, Roma or Traveller.

Tier two: £1,000

If you do not meet any criteria listed within tier one, you will be eligible for tier two if you:

• Come from a home postcode area with low participation in higher education, and have been assessed by Student Finance as being from a household with an annual income of between £25,000-£42,875.

• Have parents who did not attend university.

• Joined Bath Spa University via a non A-level route.

• Are from the Armed Forces Community.

Tier three: £500

Anyone who doesn't fall into tier one or tier two is eligible to receive £500.

Bath Spa University is working with its regional office in Nigeria to support its work across Africa.

The following scholarships are available:

• £2,000 off tuition fees for the first year of study (10 scholarships available).

Criteria 

• The Africa Regional Office Scholarship is available to both undergraduate and postgraduate applicants from across the African continent.

• You must demonstrate high academic excellence and commitment to creativity, culture and enterprise in Africa.

Application deadline

• Monday 8 June 2025.

Bath Spa University works with a number of regional offices to support its work across the world, and number of scholarships are available to support applicants from India.

The following scholarships are available:

• £2,000 off tuition fees for the first year of study (10 scholarships available).

• £1,000 off tuition fees for the first year of study (20 scholarships available for the first 20 students who apply).

Criteria

The India Regional Office Scholarship is available to both undergraduate and postgraduate applicants.

• Postgraduate students must achieve at least 70% in their degree.

• Undergraduate students must achieve at least 70% overall in their 12th grade, for example, A-Levels.

Applicants must first apply for their programme of study direct to Bath Spa University through our official University representative in India, and be processed through Bath Spa University India.

Applicants can be from outside India, but must be processed through the regional office in India.

Bath Spa University works with a number of regional offices to support its work across the world, and a number of scholarships are available to support applicants from China.

The following scholarships are available:

• £2,000 off tuition fees for the first year of study (3 scholarships available).

• £1,000 off tuition fees for the first year of study (5 scholarships available).

• Undergraduate Early Birds: £1,000 off tuition fees for the first year of study (30 scholarships available for the first 30 students who apply).

• Postgraduate Early Birds: £1,000 off tuition fees for the first year of study (5 scholarships available).

Criteria

• The China Regional Office Scholarships are only available to Chinese students. 

• Applications are assessed based on the application to your chosen programme of study, and high academic excellence and commitment to creativity, culture and enterprise is expected.

Deadline

• Monday 8 June 2025.

The Undergraduate Scholarship is a one-off payment of £500 for students who are starting their studies at BSU in September 2025 and meet the criteria outlined below.

Criteria

To qualify, you'll need to apply through UCAS and satisfy our Admissions requirements (including through Confirmation or Clearing), and be starting your studies in September 2025.

You’ll then need to:

• Achieve better than your predicted grades, or

• Achieve outstanding grades of at least AAB in your A-levels (or equivalent).

How it works

• If you are eligible for The Undergraduate Scholarship, the Student Finance Office will write to you and email your student account.

• Please make sure that you check your account regularly as it contains important information about the payment of your scholarship.

• You’ll hear whether you’ve qualified for your scholarship within the first four weeks after you've enrolled in the 25/26 academic year.

• If you’ve met the conditions and are continuing your studies at Bath Spa University, you’ll receive £500 towards the end of the following January.

In the 2025/26 academic year, we're delighted to offer three USA Transfer Scholarships. Each one offers £1,000 towards tuition fees.

If you have completed the first two years of your undergraduate degree at a USA Community College and are wishing to transfer to Bath Spa to complete your degree, you may be eligible for this scholarship.

Criteria 

• You must be entering your second year of an undergraduate programme at Bath Spa University, starting in September.

• Your fee status must be International. UK and EU students are not eligible.

• Applicants must hold an offer of admission, conditional or unconditional, to an appropriate Bath Spa University programme at the point of application. The programme must be an undergraduate degree, be full-time on-campus, and lead to an award of Bath Spa University.
