Brunel University London and the Mexican Fund for Human Resources Development (FIDERH) have partnered to provide full time students on Postgraduate taught and Postgraduate research courses with a 15% discount on tuition fee's.

The Scholarship is for Mexican students in receipt of a loan or financial support from FIDERH, a trust managed by the Central Bank of Mexico.

We are offering an automatic 20% tuition fee waiver (per year for up to three years) guaranteed for all current Beaconhouse students coming to Brunel University London for direct first year entry.

All Beaconhouse undergraduate offer holders in Pakistan who have met the entry criteria stated on their Brunel offer letter will be eligible for a tuition fee waiver up to £4,723 (Based on a Tuition Fee of £23,615) for September 2024. This is an automatic award with no additional application form. Speak to your guidance counsellor for more information.

Applicants with an offer to study on the Medicine MBBS course are not eligible for this discount.

Award details

The Brunel Graduate Discount is available for self-funding applicants who have previously studied at Brunel University London (and achieved their intended award), who register for any subsequent degree programme. 

Value: 15% discount on the net tuition fee (i.e. the tuition fee after the application of any scholarship or bursary fee waivers).

How many: Unlimited, for all of those that meet the eligibility criteria.

Eligibility

The discount will be awarded to those applicants who are:

• Registering on a further undergraduate programme, postgraduate taught programme, a doctoral or postgraduate research programme, online programme delivered by a third party, the PGCE programme and the Graduate Diploma in Law (CPE).

• Considered 'self-funded' - eligible students, who are funding their studies with a career development loan SLC Tuition Fee Loan, an SLC Postgraduate Loan, SLC Doctoral Loan or a scholarship/bursary fee waiver, are considered self-funding for the purpose of this discount.

Those not eligible for this discount:

• Applicants NOT classed as 'self-funded' - students whose tuition fees are paid by a third party, either partially or in full, are not usually eligible for the graduate discount.  Please refer to the Student Financial Policy (1.5.1) for further information.

• Applicants who have been awarded one of the following scholarship awards: International Excellence Scholarship, Brunel Santander International Scholarship or Brunel International Regional Scholarships. Please refer to the individual scholarship terms and conditions for further information regarding dual awards.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE: Brunel graduates who have achieved a first class undergraduate degree may receive both the Postgraduate Academic Excellence Scholarship and the Brunel Graduate Discount – a total of approx. 27.5% discount. 

The College of Engineering, Design & Physical Sciences (CEDPS) Academic Excellence Scholarship is a cash award available to full-time students commencing specified undergraduate courses in the College of Engineering, Design and Physical Sciences.

Award details

Value: £2,000 cash each year for a maximum of three years for a full time course and for a maximum of three years for a sandwich course. The scholarship will only be paid once for each eligible level of study, subject to normal progression criteria having been met (additional payments will not be made during a repeating year, regardless of the reason for repetition).

Scholarship holders may be requested to represent Brunel at various promotional activities throughout their time at the University. Participation is not mandatory and scholarship holders may be contacted with invitations to participate in activities such as surveys, focus groups and interviews, in order to evaluate the University’s financial support package. Scholarship holders will be contacted as and when participation is required. If a student chooses not to participate, their scholarship award will not be affected.

How many: Unlimited

Eligibility

Scholarships will be awarded to all those applicants who meet the following eligibility criteria:

• Must hold an offer of a place on a full time Undergraduate course within the College of Engineering, Design and Physical Sciences (including placement routes and undergraduate integrated Masters programmes but excluding Integrated Foundation courses), a list of eligible courses can be found in appendix 1.

• This includes offers made through UCAS Clearing. Clearing applicants must ensure that they inform the Student Loans Company (SLC) at the earliest opportunity that they are attending Brunel University London. The SLC must notify Brunel University London by 27^th September 2024. Failure to do this will result in the applicant not being considered for the award.

Those not eligible for this Scholarship:

• Applicants entering a course in the Foundation year, FHEQ Level 5 (Year 2) or FHEQ Level 6 (Year 3).

• Applicants entering a course with Brunel Pathway College (BPC), or who are progressing to a Brunel course from a BPC course.

• Applicants who will not commence their course in the upcoming academic year - applicants holding offers for deferred entry will be considered for a scholarship in the year they start their course and not in the year of their course application.

Award details

The College of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences is offering Dean’s International PhD scholarships to international students in Health and Life Sciences.

This scholarship is only available to full-time international PhD students and will only be paid once for each eligible level of study, subject to meeting progression requirements in the form of a fee waiver.

Value: £2,000 tuition fee waiver for each year of full-time study (Year 1-3), excluding the students write-up year (Year 4) and subject to progressing to the next stage of study.

Eligibility

To be eligible for a Dean’s International PhD Scholarship an applicant must:

(a) Apply for and fulfil the entry criteria for admission to programmes listed below

(b) Applicants may not be in receipt of any other scholarship

(c) Applicants must be accepted on to a programme of full time study

(d) Applicants must have a minimum 2:1 or equivalent internationally recognised undergraduate qualification to be eligible for the scholarship

(e) Applicants are required to attend an on-line interview

Award details

The Postgraduate Academic Excellence scholarship is available for students on Postgraduate Taught (PGT) courses at Brunel University London and is available to all students who have obtained a First-Class undergraduate degree;

• from a UK University, either in the UK or at an overseas campus or

• obtained the equivalent of a UK First Class degree from an EU institution

Additionally, graduates of Brunel University London will receive the Graduate Discount of 15% off the final tuition fee amount due (after any the scholarship award has been applied). On the basis that they register on a taught postgraduate programme on a fully self-funding basis (including career development loans).

Value: A discount of 15% off the tuition fees.

How many: All those that meet the eligibility criteria.

Eligibility

The Scholarship will be awarded to all full time, part time, distance learning or online learning students who meet all the following criteria:

1. Have an unconditional offer to study a taught Master’s programme at Brunel University London, this includes the MBA and Mres programmes.

2. Have achieved a First Class honours degree from a UK University or an EU University.

a) For a UK degree: the award must be from a UK University, the student does not have to have attended a UK based campus.

b) An honours degree awarded with distinction is acceptable where no first class classification exists.

c) Holding a higher degree, without having achieved a First Class classification at undergraduate level does not qualify for receipt of this award.

d) For an EU equivalent the award must be from a recognised EU institution and be the equivalent of a First-class honours degree, as listed in appendix 1.

Those not eligible for this scholarship:

• Applicants on all associate courses or modules.

• Applicants undertaking short courses.

• All PGCert, PGDip and PGCE courses – with the exception of the PGCE Secondary Education with PE and PGCE Primary (which are not funded by the Governments Teacher Training bursaries).

• Applicants on Postgraduate Research courses.

• Those who are being funded either in full or partially, this excludes those applicants whose fees are being paid by their employer, but does include:

• Bursaries provided by the National College for Teaching and Leadership (NCTL). This discount will apply to courses that are not eligible for a bursary, namely the PGCE in Primary Education and the PGCE in Secondary Education with PE only.

• Applicants on the PG Cert Education (Primary) FT.

• Courses that are fully funded by the Environment Agency namely MSc Flood and Costal Engineering.

• Those students who are sponsored by their Government.

The order of discounts will be applied as follows:

1. Scholarship/bursary fee waiver applied to the full annual tuition fee.

2. 10% Brunel Alumni Family Discount or Brunel Family Discount applied to the net tuition fee (if applicable).

3. 15% Graduate discount applied to the net tuition fee (if applicable).

4. 2% Early payment discount applied to the net tuition fee (if applicable).

Value

1. Students awarded this scholarship will have a discount of 15% applied to their annual tuition fee.

2. The reduction is applied only to the tuition fees and not to any other type of additional fee that may be incurred, such as re-submission, repeat modules or resit fees.
